So what would be an example where you would use 'le'ei' instead of 'lo'ei'?

I think the reason {le'ei} is not very frequent is the same
reason why {su'o le} is not very frequent. The parallel
after all is:

  lo'e : (su'o) lo :: le'e : su'o le

If there is a number of boxes in the next room, I might say
{mi nitcu le'ei tanxe} when the set of boxes from which any
will do is restricted to the boxes in the next room.
