Actually, I do, but that's probably because I've been active on Langmaker lately! :) Bieńwięty o nostra grupa! > I find myself intrigued by your abbreviation. As Padraic explained, we used to have a separate group called "romanceconlang", but there were two problems with it: it attracted too many people who apparently were misguided by the first half of the name, and the group was ownerless. So, it became a target for spammers, and that was so annoying that we decided to move and create a new group. The reason why we picked "romconlang" is that it belongs to a family of related groups (germaniconlang, slaviconlang, celticonlang, uraliconlang etc.), and that the name "romlang" might also include Romance natlangs. > In case you wondered, my username is derived from the subfamily of > romance languages to which Carune and its cousin Mnzo belong. The > Italo-Carune family is the second subbranch of the Ibero-Italic > (cross between Spanish and Italian=Carune). What I did find remarkable in the genealogy though, is that it doesn't mention the word "Romance"! In any case, the language has a nice look-and-feel. Indeed, it definitely evokes Italian recollections rather than Spanish! But you, as an Italian (right?) may of course have a completely different idea. BTW, I think "con-dialects" are far too rare in our art...
