Ha, more fresh meat! Yummi! :)) Welcome to you as well, Jula! > In the subject line I used a slightly altered transcription (I have > a conscript for it I never use), Hehe. Tht sounds vaguely familiar! > The normal way to write it looks more Spanish (the language > descubrala is derived from) but hides the pronunciation. Well, that's not an uncommon phenomenon. Looks at French... Or even worse, English! > A couple sample sentences (compared with some natlangs including > Spanish I need to correct)...and where I plan to move my site to: > http://terluniuvu.coconia.net If you want to have that sentence translated into more languages, nat or con, don't hesitate to ask us. > My existing site about descubrala (and the other societies on my > conworld)is here and has a grammar: > http://www.geocities.com/descubralia > And in Spanish: > http://espanol.geocities.com/descubralia Both Geocities sites don't work. I get a "Page cannot be displayed" message. But I got there anyway by using Google cache, and oddly enough, the internal links work: <http://www.geocities.com/descubralia/descubralia.html>. So, looks like you have created a true alternate history language, with fictional derivation from Spanish worked out into details, and all. Nice! I quite like your "derogatory you". Is that a feature that exists also in certain natlangs? As far as I can see, there's quite some palatalisation in the language. I'd like to see some more texts in Descubrala. Oh, and by all means create a profile for it on Langmaker.com! > -Jula Maripos (my descubralan alter-ego) A very inspiring name!
