Let me see if you agree with this:

1- Every group of more than one thing has some emergent properties 
(properties of the group but of no single member). 

2- Given a group of things, you use loi'a to talk about the emergent 
properties of the group, but not about any properties that the group 
may share with one or more of its members.

Would that be a correct assessment?
