Someone someday is going the face up to the fact that de facto grammar of {kau} is that it can follow any question word, but not meaningfully anything else, and write a grammar accordingly, using whatever formalism best gets the job done. And so forth, for the entire de facto grammar of the language. >>> John Cowan <cowan@hidden.email> 04/30/03 11:46am >>> Jordan DeLong scripsit: > Right; kau shouldn't be in UI. > > If someone writes up a proposal allowing kau after KOhA and *only* > after KOhA I will support it. It has to work after all the other selma'o that contain question words, too. -- John Cowan <jcowan@hidden.email> http://www.ccil.org/~cowan "One time I called in to the central system and started working on a big thick 'sed' and 'awk' heavy duty data bashing script. One of the geologists came by, looked over my shoulder and said 'Oh, that happens to me too. Try hanging up and phoning in again.'" --Beverly Erlebacher To unsubscribe, send mail to lojban-unsubscribe@hidden.email Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
