As for {ka} with all its places filled (which was only touched on in the lastgo-round), nothing requires (or even suggests) that the properties describedin that usage be subjective: earth shaking, for example, is clearly objective-- everyone can see it, instruments can record it, and so on.
I'm trying to get a grip on this quality-ka concept and how to use it. If I understand correctly, the idea here is that: le nu la godziras cu cadzu cu ckaji le du'u ce'u tumla se desku Godzilla's walking has the property of being earth-shaking. Which is just a fancy way of saying: le nu la godziras cu cadzu cu tumla se desku Godzilla's walking is earth-shaking. Now, how does {le ka la godziras cu cadzu}, with quality-ka, enter into this? Perhaps we can say that some other event has "the quality of Godzilla's walking", meaning that the other event is earth-shaking too. But that would be something like: le nu co'e cu dunli le nu la godziras cu cadzu kei [le du'u ce'u tumla se desku] (Or {simsa} instead of {dunli}.) Or we could just say: co'e du'i le nu la godziras cu cadzu (Or {co'e tai le nu la godziras cu cadzu}.) So, when would we use the quality-ka? And how is it defined in terms of {le nu la godziras cu cadzu} and {le du'u ce'u tumla se desku}? mu'o mi'e xorxes _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
