way, and if there is some way to describe values of ni in terms of the
value of jei that they correspond to, then we can do without jei.

Now, THIS has possibilities, although I don't agree that there has even this many-one correlation of quantities and truth values. I take xod to be arguing for a 1-1 relation; indeed, an identity.
