Salaam ad any /s&lAm &d &J/! I have decided to do some changes to the Raamaniyaan GMP. I wanted to get rid of /l/ in clusters *and* increase the incidence of /u/. After a bit of thinking the obvious solution to achieve both ends at once presented itself. Thus there is now a series of changes: {al,el,ol} > u / _C e.g. altus > ud {o:l,ul,u:l} > u / _C {il,i:l,e:l} > i / _C Also _l_ in clusters becomes /r/: Cl > Cr e.g. clarus > kharor Also I decided that Latin _rd_ > *ry > /Z/ ardore > azhar Also I need a bit of advice: FILIUS becomes a mere _fi_, so I need an alternative word. Perhaps atavus > adav, planta > parand, or a Persian loan _pusar_. I suppose fi'ol < filiolus is possible too. /BP 8^) -- B.Philip Jonsson mailto:melrochX@hidden.email (delete X) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~__ A h-ammen ledin i phith! \ \ __ ____ ____ _____________ ____ __ __ __ / / \ \/___ \\__ \ /___ _____/\ \\__ \\ \ \ \\ \ / / / / / / / \ / /Melroch\ \_/ // / / // / / / / /___/ /_ / /\ \ / /'Aestan ~\_ // /__/ // /__/ / /_________//_/ \_\/ /Eowine __ / / \___/\_\\___/\_\ Gwaedhvenn Angeliniel\ \______/ /a/ /_h-adar Merthol naun ~~~~~~~~~Kuinondil~~~\________/~~\__/~~~Noolendur~~~~~~ || Lenda lenda pellalenda pellatellenda kuivie aiya! || "A coincidence, as we say in Middle-Earth" (JRR Tolkien)
