Unfortunately, I *don't* have the necessary equipment. Technically, this computer has speakers and a microphone (with the emphasis on micro). But when I listen to, say, the IPA sound files all the vowels sound like a retroflex mid central rounded vowel with creaky voice. If I put my ear next to speaker, I might detect the presence of consonants! I'm not sure how I'd even go about recording and anyways, I can't say more than a short phrase at a time. If someone else wants to try recording a sample, based on the phonetic description given, that would be interesting! Jeff Incidently, I just uploaded some preliminary documentation at http://home.earthlink.net/~jeffsjones/conlang/GenRom/Phonol.htm Only the phonology/orthography file is close to ready. > > Cheers, > Jan > > ===== > "If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito." >
