I think he's trying to get us to do his linguistics homework for him. I partially answered his question on Germanic languages this morning; I think I regret it now. (Though if he thinks 'father' derives from Latin _pater_, he'll be sorely dissapointed in his mark.) I suggest he visit a library; they have some interesting books there.
