TOTALLY OT: philosophy & yawning (was: RE: Lojban is fxxxed



[please excuse the intrusion of a bit of idle chat]

Reading this thread reminds me of the curious and hard to explain
fact that I have no interest in epistemology whatever. Perhaps
because, without realizing it, I'm a solipsist? It's curious,
though, given that all other major branches of philosophy interest
me. But it ties in with what xod was saying about the motivation
for his interest in Lojban -- the fact that language is of no 
epistemological utility seems to whet his interest in more
metaphysical aspects.
