really? I was under the impression that the Kurds were from a Turkic family.
Kurdish is an Iranian-IndoEuropean language which has been spoken in the area for at least 3000 years (already Xenophon had a run-in with the _Kyrtoi_)
which were the first Turkic people in the region? *curious*
OTOH the Latin orthography of Kurdish is actually based on
