No. It comes from "Vuestra merced". Hence its usual abbreviation 'Vd.'. Maybe 
there has been an influence from the Arabic word, but I saw one or twice older 
texts using "vuestra merced" and its abbreviation "Vd." where modern texts 
would use "usted", so I consider the evolution quite likely.
