There are at least two ways to translate this, depending on the sense.
1)  He saw her and she was in the garden. = Vehab esay esaw wod mupus.
2)  He saw her and he was in the garden. = Vehab esay wog mupus esaw.

Here is one of ram's examples (with Saweli words) of this type of disambiguation (from Lesson 6):

Vehab yaras rezabos womlod mesras.
   I saw the merchant in the hotel.
   [The "seeing" definitely took place inside the hotel.]

Vehab yaras rezabos womlog mesras.
   I saw the merchant in the hotel.
   [The merchant was in the hotel at one time or other.
   The "seeing", however, may have occurred elsewhere.]
