I've been working quite a bit on the earliest written form of 'Rienench' (last paragraph). One of the first official texts to contain Old Rienench rather than Latin (and also Old French) were the Oaths of Strasbourg. Orthography of the O.R. text is, as far as possible, the same as for Old High German except i have used <v> and <j> to make it a little easier to read (would otherwise be <u> and <i>).
