Romlangs with articles < Lat. 'iste'?

Hi!

Southern/Balearic Catalan (and I think Sardinian, too) has articles
derived from 'iste'.  E.g.:

   es vi     - the wine
   sa caixa  - the bank
   s'aigua   - the water

I like the sound a lot.  Does any romance conlang derive its articles
this way?
