Actually, interestingly enough Yiddish has a layer of Romance material that comes from its earliest stages. For instance, the relatively common word _bentš_ "bless" (also borrowed from Yiddish into some Judeo-Englishes) comes from Latin _benedicere_(sp?). There are other words, but i can't think of them at the moment.
