Theophilus/Towr or Tohuyr at kxrift: Unfortunately, the Greek vowel 
changes preserve too distinct a Latinity (a hyper-conservative 
dialect, perhaps) and many of the distinctive sounds of Latin are 
already similar to that of late Greek. I have often wondered about a 
Greco-Latin sprachbund in terms of stress and phonological 
development.
