My impression is that both options are equally possible. In conlang
land, and especially among Romance conlangs, it seems that native
terms are used more often than English terms. Cf. Brithenig, Kerno,
Wenedyk, Slvanjec, etc. The opposite seems to be the case with Slavic
conlangs, BTW.


I tend to use "Slvanjec" and "Slevan" somewhat indiscriminately,
mostly out of fear that ['sl=van_jEts] will get mispronounced.
In German it is "Schlewanisch", in French "Slévanois" and in
Hungarian "Szelvanyec"! ;)
