Meyer-Lübke's "Romanisches Etymologisches Wörterbuch" (was Re: [romconlang] Gracchan Latin vs Classical Latin vs Vulgar Latin)

There is of course Meyer-Lübke's "Romanisches Etymologisches

Also it can't normally be bought for money.

Except on the internet :) My copy (probably also running about 40 euros, or a titch more after postage) just arrived from Germany thanks to the miracle of abebooks.co.uk (the UK branch of abebooks.com).

There seems to have been a 6th edition as recently as 1992 (good ol' Carl Winters Verlag), though from what I can tell from scrounging for info on the internet, most of the import twiddles are in by the 1935 3rd edition (which is what I picked up for a bit less less than I saw the 1992 version going for).

According to abebooks, further copies of various editions are available scattered around Europe and North America at a quite wide range of prices (between about GBP30 and GBP160!)

Cheers,
Carl
