You might want to have a look at <http://www.orbilat.com>. There's
some info about the differences between CL and VL.

And about the number of Latins: don't forget that there is another
one: Medieval Latin. Has little or nothing in common with Vulgar
Latin.

Unfortunately so. There are some excellent resources on Vulgar Latin,
but not AFAIK dictionaries. When I need a word in Wenedyk, I usually
check several dictionaries: Classical Latin, French, Italian,
Romanian, Ladin, and sometimes, when those don't help, Spanish or
Portuguese.

The problem with VL is that very little of it is attested; it is
mostly a language reconstruction based on the living Romance
languages. A book where you can find lots of samples is:
P. Boyd-Bowman, "From Latin to Romance in Sound Charts".
