Yea, that was my guess too, but the semantics of the word confused me. _Diurnus_ would rather mean 'day', or '24-hours period' (Russian 'sutki'). What reflexes do we find in romlangs? Sp. _ma�ana_, Po. _manh�_ < VL _*maneana_ (?) 'early [time]'; It. _mattina_, Fr. _matin_ < L _m�t�t�nus_ 'morning' (adj.); Ro. _dimineaT�_ < smth like *de-mane-tia, I would assume.
