sts: fudi -> fudindatse ?
stefo,
and what would "fudindatse" mean? I have my own doubts
about reading "fudi" a newspaper (a strange place to be
reading!). i think "vodi" or a new word might be
better.

stevo,
"fudindatse" would mean that the
reading the newspaper by me is somehow is related to "in the
newspaper". "ts" doesn't provide us with the
information what exactly is in the newspaper, if it's the
agent-patient or the focus or the event all together. in this case,
it's the focus that is in the newspaper. there is no possiblity i know
of to say that only the focus is inside something, so i wanted to use
"ts". cf:
fugonsa - sit, be sitting down, be seated.
Vibemba mi letubyo
jafugonsa butansatse vodi bucikxe mensa = I
persuaded the actors
to quietly sit on the hot floor. See also
"fugo" and "fugonca".
here it's not clear if it's the actors
(patien-agent) or the sitting down on the floor by the actors that is
quiet, so "ts" is used. i thought this was the very point of
"ts". wasn't it?
