Yikes!  I didn't realize there was so much interest in Katanda.  I'm
flattered by, and grateful for, the neat things many of you have said
about it on the Conlang list.  Thanks!

However, I have to emphasize that, from my point of view, Katanda's only
purpose is as an interlingua for use in machine translation or human-
machine communication, and I can't emphasize this point too much.  Thus,
my current free time is being spent on improving the current translation
software (English to and from Katanda) and increasing the size of the
vocabulary.

Eventually, when I feel that the interlingua has been adequately tested
and "debugged", I'll be interested in getting in touch with other people
with experience in NLP (natural language processing) and who are fluent
in non-English natlangs.

That said, as you can see, I have definitely joined the new list (I'd
feel like quite a curmudgeon if I didn't :-), and I'll participate as
time permits.

No problem.  Post them to this list and I will post the output of the
translation software.

This will also be a good way for me to detect hidden bugs.
