No, because there is semistandard terminology for this in linguistics.
Emergent properties (like piano carrying) are properties of 
collectives. Being gunged up without discrete members and lacking
intrinsic boundaries are the key properties of masses.

If you define terms nonstandardly it will create too much confusion.

Isn't filling the bowl an emergent property? It's not the case that
each apple fills the bowl.

So my answer is: a multiplicity, with emergent properties.
