I looked up the period and learned that it symbolizes a pause.  I never
liked the pause thing in Loglan, because, mainly, it wasn't indicated in the
orthography, and seemed to be very necessary to keep the morphemes straight.
Should we allow names to begin with nonconsonants preceded by a '.' in
Ceqli?  And if so, would it be reasonable to call it a pause _and_ glottal
stop?
