I was just going thru Steve Rice's excellent Loglan Primer (and, BTW, I still haven't managed to locate him. The Loglan Institute doesn't have an email address for him) and I remembered that there are heaps and heaps of cmavo that I wanted to use preda forms for years ago. It makes no sense for discursives like 'in fact' and 'however' to have such forms, not to mention words like thanks, hello, etc. Many of these words are simply sentence modifiers, like 'Clearly, the dog is asleep,' which is a short way of saying 'It is clear that the dog is asleep.' And by the VOS rule (with object left out in this case) we can say Klar ke kan dorm. So with pred +ke covering all the sentence modifiers we eliminate still more of those pesky 595 Lojban cmavo. -- >PLEASE NOTE MY NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS: rmay@hidden.email > Rex F.
