Arbitrarily I'm following the Mandarin model and making Monday the first day. Also, tho it's not explicitly called that here in the US, most people think of it as the start of the week. Maybe the Israelis won't like it, but hey, they went along with 'common era'. Ray:-> You would avoid this problem by using the Japanese system for the
days of the week, which blends the Western model with the 5 elements of
Chinese:
Sun-day, Moon-day, Fire-day, Water-day, Wood-day, Metal-day,
Earth-day.
