tree bark: count or mass?

Most of the words with classifier "bem" seem to be count nouns, so I assume that "jicunbemi" ('tree bark') is too. Does "jicunbemi" then actually mean '(piece of) bark [of a tree]'?
jicunbemi [P-s] - bark [of a tree]. [Etym: tree/wood/paper/tall/vertical/leg + safe/protect/armor/skin + other body part]
