Since "cakopa" implies something that is not real, but may become real, shouldn't virtually all clauses after "cakopa" be in future tense? The first two of the following sentences (all five are from LE) have implied past tense. The latter three already have future tense.
Cakopa bavi faginza libyedami bavi = I wanted the birds to stay away from me.
Cakopa lijazevi kwibusesa kedoykigi kefage zetikigi = The customers wanted the shopping mall to be built far from the bus station.
Dasu cakopa bavi jevu dabusa xevi jisi zaso = I want you to lift that chair.
Dasu cakopa bavi jevu dezogamba xevi timi xemo fozegi = I want you to move your car onto the street.
Dasu cakopa bavi jevu junkopa xevi zetimi kuzigo kemo tomo = I want you to imagine a big colorful bus.
