In a perfect world, the obvious perfect things. Reference grammars, vocab lists, sound change charts, and everything else a good a posteriori conlanger needs. Most particularly, any and all information on Proto-Turkic in general and (Proto-)Kypchak in (slightly more) specific would be a good place to start. Information on Uralic langs is also hard to find via "the normal channels", and Coptic seems to be harder than it should be. I've pretty much got the PIE languages for both projects (Slavic, Greek, Latin, Armenian) covered. The Semitic languages seem to have a decent amount of information out there, too, and I know enough to have an understanding of what subjects I need to research more. I'd do my own research, if Amazon's selection of grammars and reference works were priced in tens rather than hundreds of dollars, but I just don't have that kind of cash right now. Yeah, quite some wish list, I know. Thems the breaks, it seems, when you're aiming for something sufficiently realistic. Paul
