Help! I just realized that I have two different words in Carrajena (my Romlang set in Carthage) which are spelled |sadi| and pronounced /'sa.dI/. They both derive from Hebrew roots (standing in for Punic). The one, meaning "a sheet of cloth" comes from the çadiyn -- fine linen, sheet (spelled with shin with a dot at the left end. The second, meaning "a poor dirt-farm" comes from sadeh -- country, field. Does it seem workable for these two word to co-exist? If not could anyone knowledgeable about historic pronunciations of Hebrew/North Semitic suggest other/better pronunciations of the initial consonants in these two words? Maybe one could become "zadi" or "xadi".
