En réponse à Robert B Wilson <han_solo55@hidden.email>: > > how about making PDF files with embedded fonts? > Grr... Do that if you want to make sure I'll never look at your pages. I've already explained on Conlang more than once that PDF is the *worst* format to use on the web (well, Word is even worse but nobody has ever had the idea to use it ;)) ). It's OK if you want to make special files available for people who want to take the time to download them, but webpages should *always* be in HTML (or you should provide a choice between HTML and PDF). The Acrobat plug-in taking over your browser is such a hassle that if your pages are available only in PDF I won't even try to view them, and I know plenty of people who won't either. Providing PDF files for download for some special articles and stuff is OK, but remember that most people never download anything. In short, for webpages, stick to HTML. PDF has been invented for different purposes and is not fit for browsing. Christophe. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr Take your life as a movie: do not let anybody else play the leading role.
