How come "skeleton" is not a "whole of all bones"?
I've thought all along that a skeleton should be a collection/group of bones (i.e., "ga'ulecis"), since (almost) all bones support some part of the body, but just haven't changed it yet. For now a bone is hard while a skeleton supports. I just thought of something else: An external skeleton (carapace) is not made of bones. That may be a reason good enough to not alter the word. On the other hand, there is already a word for 'shell, carapace', namely "ga'uvas".
