For a long time it has bothered me that there is no way in L (and therefore in S) to indicate only that a focus is added to or removed from the argument structure of a classifier, or that a classifier's argument structure changes only in whether it's static (s) or dynamic (d).
I've added four suffixes to S.
1) Focus changes: we, wo. [I chose "w" because it's reminiscent of the "w" in "xwa", "xwe", "xwi", "zwa", "zwe", and "zwi", i.e., the focused forms of the basic argument changing suffixes. The vowels are the same as in the suffixes "te/to" - add/remove root to/from P.]
a) we - add focus to classifier's argument structure.
E.g., vozap - be expensive, costly, high-priced, dear.
vozanwep - cost, sell for, have a price equal to. [formerly "vozanxwap"]
Adding "we" to a P-s classifier such as "vo-", with default "xa", is the equivalent to adding a "w" to make "xwa", but more specifically says that it's just the focus that was changed. It says a focus was added. To figure this out from "xwa", you have to first figure out (or already know) what the default for "vo" is, namely "xa", and then realize that the only difference between the two is the addition of a focus.
Once "we" has been added, then any other argument-changing modifiers, such as inverse, passives, or middles take effect.
b) wo - remove focus from classifier's argument structure.
E.g., tam - tell.
tanwom - speak to, talk to. [formerly "tanzim"]
2) s/d changes: xo, zo. [The consonant indicates the resulting value s vs. d. The vowel was a toss-up between "o" and "u", so I used the first of the two.]
a) xo - changes a dynamic to a static, e.g., P-d to P-s.
tuf [A/P-d] - do something to, affect, have an effect on.
tunxof - control, manage, run. [formerly "tunxif"]
b) zo - changes a static to a dynamic, e.g., P/F-s to P/F-d.
vejab [P/F-s] - see, behold, witness, perceive with the eye(s).
vejanzob- notice, catch sight of, detect, spot. [formerly "vejanzwab"]
Just as the bare classifier says nothing about the argument structure, adding any of these suffixes says nothing about the rest of the structure, only the specific action of the suffix itself. Thus, in the last example, since "vejab" is focused, so is "vejanzob".
Note that all of the old versions are still correct. They are just not as clear as the new ones.
I'll post a new version of the dictionary that incorporates these changes as soon as I've finished making these and some other changes.
