Re: Reconstructed Latin



Because I only heard of it, I don't know if Hall's Vulgar Latin was meant.

If I had to do a reconstruction of the grammar, I would try to use greek grammar and change in it in that parts where the romlangs show, that it is unrealistic. Old compounds could be examples. One would need to be very careful not to pick up latin loan words, which would not exist, if Latin would not have been a literature language.

Because there exist many romlangs, we also could assume, that Latin had some influence in other languages and could still make assumptions on latin pronunciations on the base of forms of words which came into other languages.
