That is EXCEEDINGLY cool, especially since I wasn't aware of the reality at the time I arbitrarily chose that system for my own convinience (since I didn't have access to materials with the Latin vowels marked for length at the time I started C-a).  This makes the second or third time that something like this has come to my attention years after implimenting it in C-a.
