Cheese is all in all an obvious way to conserve milk for a long period. So probably it got produced from the moment cattle was kept.

question - what is 'Quark Cheese'? it sounds, to me, like a particle physicist's idea of a bad joke. (sorry!).

No idea how this could tell us more about 'caseus'.

to me, at least, it looks like it has a Greek origin (possibly because of the -eus to it).
