Well, I think it is a quite natural mechanism in the development of a language, that when two incompatible forms start to look too much like each other, then one of them is substituted by something else. If I were you, I would try to construct this new form from (Early) Jovian, not from Latin. Alternatives could come from: "esse praesens", "ne adesse", etc. Jan
