LOL > In the desert areas yes, but in Montrei the desert is mainly the far eastern fringe of the owens valley. Horses are less stubborn, don't spit, and do better in hills here (not to mention Montreiano culture was essentially a horse culture....like Southern Spaniards). Most of Montrei is either forested mountains, or grassy oak studded savannahs (and along the coast chapparal)
