It's odd that the use of a preposition to mark direct object is used
only in the far east and far west of the Romance-speaking region.


Is this not a known linguistic phenomenon, especially in Romance, where the
further away from center the concentric rings agree (like the pond ripples)?  
It would make sense then that Romanian (inc. Moldavian) and Luso-Portuguese
would concur.  Perhaps the is more obvious in Aromanian, since the these
speakers, where not under the same cultural and political hegemony as where
their Wallachian cousins.

My personal opinion is that Aromanian (in the East) and Galician (in the
West) are perhaps the best for an ideal model of this linguistic phenomenon.
