the toys probably aren't melodious, they don't have a sence for music. they are just "of music". afaiui (as far as i understand it).

but stefo, "tizda" is 'musical, melodious'.  to me, that means they produce musical sounds, if not actual music.  nor does 'melodious' means 'having a sense for music'.  it means 'having a melody or rhythm, being musical'.  you seem to be applying it strictly to people, which is not valid.  besides, "of music" is extremely  (i.e., too) vague.
in general, i regard a definition of this sort (related synonyms) as providing a union of the various sets of meanings represented by the synonyms where the meanings are similar, and the intersection of the meanings where they diverge.  in this case, there is much more similarity than divergence.  gray (i.e., uncertain) areas occur when one considers something that is musical, but not melodious and vice versa.  i can't think of an example right now, though.

stevo,
you're right!

ald says:

musical
adj.
1 [only before noun] connected with music; containing music
2 (of a person) with a natural skill or interest in music
3 (of a sound) pleasant to listen to, like music
