lesson28: The containers with the bread and the chicken legs weigh more than eight pounds. Funsanda lesyu te caswa ne lecaynze te gefuji pofusya cimu xeku. sts:parsing this sentence, i come up with this question: is "ne" an abreviation of "nendu"/"nende"?
lesson28: Peter asked me for a steel bathtub but it was too expensive. Nida Kapedebyo mi xenasyu va te gebiste nane sebinsanta toyuva xehi. sts:i thought it must be "nahi" instead of "xehi". "xe" is just a prefix, i thought. so i mismemorized something.
lesson28: I can't fix the coffee cups until the chef gives me the glue. Bube cansampasna mi lenafusyu te gekofiswa kayunde temba mebyo mi seste. sts:i find it still confusing that "can" is expressed by a suffix, whereas "try" is expressed by a prefix and "want" is expressed by a verb. can anyone comfort me? :)
lesson28: It's easy to remember these passwords even though they are very long. Cayzdanta mapesi legidya ju nanende monsanta xeva gihi. sts:one more example for putting the oblique "nanende monsanta xeva gihi" right after "cayzdanta" (exchanging "legidya ju" and "gihi").
-> "Cayzdanta nanende monsanta xeva legidya ju mapesi lehi." lesson28: It's unlikely that my kinfolk will want to work for the amusement park because of the great distance. Gida mi bipu foy kibe vaspa bumeswa fudindu bumespu fumwa te gevendu. sts:this "vaspa" made me think of this: obviously "vaspa" has two arguments. "vaspe" also has two arguments. why don't we have everytime the same argument structure?
"... vaspe fumwa" - "... for the meal" "bumeswa vaspu fumwa" - "the ice cream for the meal" "bumeswa vaspa fumwa" - "the ice cream is for the meal" it was just a spontaneous idea. (sorry.)
