dego

Rick,
Does "dego" refer to the compositional aspect of writing (as the example about writing three articles seems to indicate) or to the actual making of marks on a surface, as in calligraphy?  [Klingon makes a clear distinction between the two ('qon' vs. 'ghItlh'), but Klingon is a poor example of a natural language, as well as not being widely spoken.]
