Rick,
In LS 12.0 there are these examples of verbs based on the "viva" series of words:
> verbs:
His understanding suvanta.
= His understanding IS MINIMAL.
The music dawvanta.
= The music IS SO-SO.
The volume toyuvanta.
= The volume IS EXCESSIVE.
The measurements newevanta.
= The measurements ARE APPROXIMATE.
The problem xevanta.
= The problem IS LARGE/GREAT.
It looks like these verbs can be paraphrased to mean "is of maximum/high/average/etc. degree". This paraphrase works fine for sentences 1 (understanding), 3 (volume), and 4 (measurements), but for 2 (music) and 5 (problem), it doesn't work as well. Music and problems are not as linear as the other subjects. Maybe saying "The quality/pleasantness/volume of the music IS SO-SO" or "The size/difficulty/age of the problems IS LARGE/GREAT."
