BTW, the "empty string" qq is included in 2, yes?


That seems rather pointless. Better to allow qq to be initial in an ordinary nononomastic stem. So (2), for the pedantic, would be:

2'. word-initial q-, when not immediately followed by another q, marks the start of an onomastic stem that ends at the q
