Good Lord!  Lot's of complexity there.

Russian has two sets, interrogative and relative, and I frankly can't remember how they're 
used in a case like this.

Thing is, in this exchange...

"What is that?"

"I don't know."

The 'what' is clearly interrogative, but the answer could has easily be "I don't know what 
that is."  So is this second 'what' interrogative or relative?

And if we used existing Ceqli systems:

cuba bi kwa?

go bu jan...

Only thing I can think of is to use 'ke', which is natural for a declarative.

go jan ke da sta cu.   I know he's there.

Feels awkward for an interrogative, but why not?

go jan ke cuba bi kwa.

In an instance like this, 'ke' might be taken to mean 'the answer to:'  I don't see any threat 
of ambiguity here, do you?
