Old "be" again

"Be" frustrates me, because it seems to want badly to be unstressed,
as in:

Spun bedan pani.

And it seems like any other Ceqli compound word doesn't have that
effect, at least on me. Xyendom calls for even stress.

And it's in the position it is because I glommed it from
Mandarin "bei" and it goes in front of the verb. However, that's as
far as it goes, because the Mandarin word doesn't switch the
positions of the subject and object as in Ceqli. It actually means, I
think, "receive," so the actual way it looks is:

You hit me. I bei(receive) you hit.

Which is fine, but not the way I wanted Ceqli to work. So how about
doing something different. Let's make it "bey", and say that it does
mean "receive from", sort of, being a content word rather that
a "grammar word" like pa and to, etc., which I think contributes to
its wanted to be unstrssed. Then we'd get a sentence like:

Go bey ku zi. I receive hit from you.
More like a Western passive construction.

And then it can compound like.

Go kom karn. I eat meat. Go karnkom. I'm an eater of meat.

Thus:

Go kubey zi. I hit-receive from you.

And that sort of opens up other, more Loglanish constructions,
switching more than jut subj and obj.

Not that I can think of any right now. But, how about the bey
compound to replace the be prefix? It will do away with all that
stress problem.
