Agree, tho 'typical' might be in wider use than we think at first. Just about any "Go pipyar" sentence would call for it, as I see it. Let's call it 'tuya' for now. Tuya siq bi stroqse di. Go pipyar tuya bir. Tuya felin bepopyar tuya xyen. And, further, I think we've kind of narrowed down what 'to' means. 'ti' and 'tay' are clear. Now, 'te' I never conceived as the indefinite marker, but as the noun-phrase marker. True, in effect it seems to be used that way, but I have no problem with following the Loglan usage of using the number one as the indefinite article. Zi ten gun. You have gun. Lots of possible meanings, depending on context. Zi ten te gun. Exactly the same, except 'te' is inserted lest it be heard as Zi tengun. Zi ten han gun. Or Zi ten hansi gun. You have one/a gun. But, Zi ten tuya gun. Doesn't seem to have any sensible meaning. There are other 'the' words needed: Perhaps 'tawa' for 'the number'. -- Rex F.
