That version can very easily be improved just
by using j for /j/, w for /w/ and x for /Z/.
That way no letter would remain unused and
there would be no doubt as to i and u being
full vowels or glides.

The use of w for /y/ would introduce front
rounded vowels into the phoneme chart, but with
the inconsistency of using just one of them.

Really, I can't understand why there's so
strong opposition as to use j for /j/, w for
/w/ and x for /Z/. It makes pretty well sense
if you consider it from an unbiassed point of
view: it makes the best out of the roman alphabet
without introducing any awkward oddity

I really think you all are showing a very annoying
English-prejudiced attitude towards orthography, and
if it continues to be so, then I think I will start
to show my own Spanish-prejudiced requirements and
ask for letter j to be assigned to /X/, letter
h to be silent, letter v to be left out or equalled
in sound to letter b, letter z to be read as /T/
and so on.

Best regards,
Javier
